Basketball Recap: Tekoa Academy Takes a Loss

Tekoa Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Cristo Rey Jesuit Lions 72-32. The Knight were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Cristo Rey Jesuit's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcus Roberson, who posted 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Andres Morejon, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 14 points and six boards.

Tekoa Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

When Tekoa Academy and Cristo Rey Jesuit next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Tekoa Academy will face off against Harmony Science Academy and their three-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th. Similarly, Cristo Rey Jesuit will try to stop Bob Hope's five-game winning streak when the meet at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
