Basketball Recap: Hanford West Comes Up Short

Hanford West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. Their2024 ended with a 63-44 loss against the Lemoore Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1245th, while the Tigers are ranked 315th).

Micah Fox continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lemoore, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. Fox's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ian Snell was another key player, putting up eight points and 12 rebounds.

Hanford West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Lemoore, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Hanford West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-45 loss against Fowler on the 30th. As for Lemoore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-43 victory against Kennedy on the 30th.
