Basketball Recap: Salt Lake Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Aisha Carreon and Addison Patrick

After flying high against American Prep WV last Friday, Salt Lake Academy came back down to earth. The Salt Lake Academy Griffins came up short against the Rockwell Marshals on Tuesday, falling 48-25. The Griffins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marshals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Addison Patrick and Aisha Carreon certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Patrick posted nine points, while Carreon scored ten points.

Salt Lake Academy moved to 7-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Rockwell, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.

Salt Lake Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vanguard Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th. Rockwell has already played their next game (against Wasatch Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
