Basketball Game Preview: Castro Valley Trojans vs. Piedmont Highlanders

Castro Valley hasn't had much luck against Piedmont recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Castro Valley Trojans will take on the Piedmont Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Castro Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 67-63 to Berkeley.

Meanwhile, Piedmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 66-57 to Alameda. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly nine points.

Piedmont now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Castro Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Castro Valley barely slipped by Piedmont in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 50-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Castro Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
