With a playoff win on the line, Rice Lake rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 68-36 win over the Menomonie Mustangs. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Addison Schmidt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Adaline Sheplee, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Rice Lake was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Rice Lake's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points over those games. As for Menomonie, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Coming up, Rice Lake will face off against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeland will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Rice Lake surely won't give up without a fight. Menomonie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
