The IC Catholic Prep Knights will take on the Lisle Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. IC Catholic Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

IC Catholic Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Westmont 18-0. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Sentinels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Madelynn Dinino made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabella Jelic, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lexi Russ was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

IC Catholic Prep lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Lisle played against Victoria Soto on Friday and won via forfeit.

IC Catholic Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-13. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Lisle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-16-1.

Everything went IC Catholic Prep's way against Lisle in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as IC Catholic Prep made off with a 23-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
