Mineral County is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Smith Valley a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Mineral County Serpents will be playing in front of their home fans against the Smith Valley Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. Mineral County will be strutting in after a win while Smith Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Mineral County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Virginia City 27-4 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Serpents, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Smith Valley finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 16-1 to Carlin.

Smith Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mineral County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
