Recap: Rock Canyon Jaguars vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders
The Rock Canyon Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Regis Jesuit out 87-84. The victory was familiar territory for Rock Canyon who now have five in a row.
Macoy Terry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasen Lehman, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Regis Jesuit's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damarius Taylor, who scored 31 points. Alec Roumph was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Rock Canyon pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Regis Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Rock Canyon will head out on the road to challenge Legend at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Legend's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Regis Jesuit, they will be playing at home against Mountain Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Mountain Vista is ranked seventh, while Regis Jesuit is ranked 14th).
