Basketball Game Preview: De Leon Bearcats vs. Poolville Monarchs

De Leon is 2-8 against Poolville since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The De Leon Bearcats will face off against the Poolville Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, De Leon had to suffer through a 70-32 loss at the hands of Graford. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1177th, while the Rabbits are ranked 515th).

Meanwhile, Poolville took a blow against Graford on Tuesday, falling 78-42. The Monarchs have struggled against the Rabbits recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Poolville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for De Leon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

De Leon came up short against Poolville when the teams last played on January 7th, falling 40-36. Can De Leon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
