Basketball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

Bedford lost against Lorain back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bedford Bearcats took a hard 49-35 fall against the Lorain Titans.

Samone Whitt was a one-woman wrecking crew for Lorain as she dropped a double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Whitt has become a key player for Lorain: the team is 11-4 when she posts at least eight boards, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Villegas, who posted nine points along with six steals and five assists.

Bedford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. Lorain has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Bedford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-20 defeat against Archbishop Hoban on the 15th. As for Lorain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-27 loss against Jackson on the 19th.
