Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Region). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Winter Haven Blue Devils an 18-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Thunder have won eight contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Margaret Jenkins was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Makenna Meadows was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Lake Region was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winter Haven only posted a batting average of .071.

Lake Region pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Winter Haven, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
