Baseball Recap: Mount Ayr Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Decatur last Friday, Mount Ayr came back down to earth. The Raiders fell just short of the Bedford Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in July of 2024.

Mount Ayr's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Bedford, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record this season.

Mount Ayr has already played their next game (against Lenox), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bedford, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-0 victory against Fremont-Mills on the 26th.
