Softball Preview: E.D. White Cardinals vs. North Vermilion Patriots

E.D. White is 0-7 against North Vermilion since March of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Cardinals will host the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. E.D. White will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

E.D. White's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Bourgeois 15-0. Considering the Cardinals have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Mahler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Pech, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

E.D. White hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, North Vermilion was able to grind out a solid victory over New Iberia on Monday, taking the game 5-2.

E.D. White is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
