Softball Recap: St. Mary's Saints vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks

For Charlotte Latin's part, Sydney Thune made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Thune has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 13 consecutive pitching appearances. Thune was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Charlotte Latin got a massive performance out of Talia Hawa, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Avery Bly was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
