The Oak Grove Eagles will face off against the Lincoln Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Oak Grove fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Live Oak on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Acorns by a score of 7-6. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Acorns recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Jordan McCoy and Brandon Stewart did some serious damage despite the final result: McCoy went 4-for-6 with one RBI, while Stewart got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against Leland on Friday, falling 8-2.

Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.

Oak Grove suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Lincoln in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
