Softball Recap: Lompoc Has No Trouble Against St. Bonaventure

Lompoc was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against St. Bonaventure on Thursday. The Braves were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Seraphs. That's more bragging rights for the Braves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rianna Stouppe was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Teagan Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Lompoc was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lompoc's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for St. Bonaventure, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Coincidentally, Lompoc and St. Bonaventure will both be playing Stockdale the next time they take the field. The Braves will head out to face the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Seraphs will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
