Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Okeechobee

Legacy is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Okeechobee Brahmans at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Legacy will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Somerset College Prep Academy on Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 4-1 win. Considering Legacy's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Okeechobee kept a clean sheet against DeSoto County on Friday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. Vicente Jaimes had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Okeechobee got from the refs.

Legacy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. As for Okeechobee, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
