It's playoff time, and Purvis had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Raymond Rangers a 7-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering the Tornadoes have won 11 games by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Purvis' fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Raymond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
