Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-22 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sterling Silver Knights. The Lancers lost against the Silver Knights in their previous head to head back in February of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-31 score last time.

Paris Logan went supernova for Sterling, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. With that strong performance, Logan is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Sterling, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Holy Cross will square off against King's Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Holy Cross is facing King's Christian at the right time seeing as King's Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Sterling has already played their next game (against West Deptford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
