Volleyball Recap: Algoma Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Algoma suffered their biggest loss since September 4th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Southern Door Eagles. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Algoma took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-22.

Alanna Paye had an outrageously good game for Southern Door as she had 25 digs. Paye is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Algoma has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Southern Door, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10.

Algoma has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Sevastopol on the 9th. As for Southern Door, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Sturgeon Bay on the 9th.
