Basketball Recap: Cedar Ridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cedar Ridge extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 2-14. They were outmatched by the Carrboro Jaguars and fell 49-20. If the Fighting Red Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 48-17 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Carrboro, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25, 2025 (when they won 67-29).

Madison Taylor continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Claire O'Brien, who put up six points and eight rebounds.

Cedar Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-25 loss against Seaforth on the 7th. As for Carrboro, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-42 defeat against Orange on the 7th.
