After a string of ten wins, Cypress Falls's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to the Stratford Spartans 50-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Spartans are ranked 431st).

Cypress Falls' defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 24-5. As for Stratford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season.
