Basketball Recap: Mt. Markham Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Mt. Markham, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They greeted the New Year with with a 43-29 victory over the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mt. Markham now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sherburne-Earlville, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Mt. Markham will venture away from home to square off against Herkimer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sherburne-Earlville, they will welcome Canastota at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
