High school football: Top 25 Washington players from the Class of 2022

Ahead of the 2021 high school football season, MaxPreps is breaking down the top senior prospects in the country state-by-state as rated by 247Sports. We continue the series with Washington, which opens play Sept. 3.

Rainier Beach offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. not only Washington's top prospect, but he also sets the tone for dominating offensive lineman.

By position, there are seven tackles or interior lineman who are part of the Top 25 list, which is followed by tight ends (four), defensive linemen and linebackers (three each), quarterbacks, wide receivers and defensive backs (two each) along with one running back and one athlete.

Graham-Kapowsin (Graham) was the only school with three players off the list.

As of Aug. 13, 16 of the 25 had made commitments to colleges with the University of Washington being the top landing spot with four, followed by Washington State and Oregon State, with three each.

1. Josh Conerly Jr. | Rainier Beach (Seattle)
6 feet, 5 inches | 275 pounds | offensive tackle | Undecided college choice

The nation's No. 18 recruit overall and third-ranked tackle has a strong basketball background and a 6-10 wingspan. Compared to Chargers tackles Rashawn Slater. Conerly has earned 28 college offers, including Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas.

2. Tobias Merriweather| Union (Vancouver)
6-4 | 185 | WR | Notre Dame commit

Similar to former Texas receiver Collin Johnson, now of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Merriweather is long and physical, with an ability to catch the ball from any angle.

3. Ryan Otton | Tumwater
6-6 | 225 | TE | Washington

Ranked the No. 6 tight end in the country, Otton has a brother (Cade) who is currently playing tight end for the Huskies.

4. Tristan Dunn | Sumner
6-3 | 190 | S | Arizona State

Extremely versatile, Dunn played linebacker at Sumner. Been compared to Kyle Van Noy of the Patriots.

5. Dishawn Misa | Eastside Catholic (Sammamish)
6-3 | 220 | LB | Undecided

Took an official visit to Colorado on June 21. Fourteen offers overall, including Oregon, Washington and Arizona State.

6. Dave Luli | Puyallup
6-5 | 315 | IOL | Oregon

Versatile lineman can play inside or outside on the line for a team that has gone 35-7 since 2017.

7. Malik Agbo | Beamer (Federal Way)
6-5 | 320 | OT | Undecided

The nation's 26th-ranked offensive tackle is also a basketball and track and field standout. Arizona State, Florida, Miami, Oklahoma and LSU among his finalists.



8. Mark Nabou | O'Dea (Seattle)
6-4 | 330 | IOL | Undecided

Decommitted from Washington on June 23 after official visits to Michigan and Texas A&M.

9. Vega Ioane | Graham-Kapowsin (Graham)
6-4 | 330 | IOL | Washington

Yet another top offensive lineman committed to the Huskies after receiving 12 offers.

10. Djouvensky Schlenbaker | Squalicum (Bellingham)
6-1.5 | 210 | RB | Washington State

Took official visits to Colorado, Cal and Washington State before picking the Huskies on June 28.

11. Chance Bogan | Lincoln (Tacoma)
6-4 | 220 | TE | Washington

The Huskies scored the 25th best tight end in the country with Bogan, who had other offers from Arizona State, Colorado and Oregon State, among others.

12. DeAndre Gill Jr | Kentwood (Covington)
6-5 | 210 | LB | UCLA

Long, athletic defender can also play tight end.

13. Austin Terry | Tumwater
6-5 | 230 | TE | Undecided

Reminds some of Anthony Firkser of the Tennessee Titans. Spent much time blocking in the Wing-T, but should break loose in college.

14. Hudson Cedarland | Gig Harbor
6-3 | 215 | LB | Washington State

Besides catching passes, Cedarland also has shown well as an outside linebacker. Tremendous football IQ.

15. Drew Savaiinaea | Graham-Kapowsin (Graham)
6-3 | 273 | DL | Undecided

Has nine offers, including California, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA and Washington State. San Jose State has come in late with an offer.

16. Luka Vincic | Bothell
6-5 | 275 | OT | Oregon State

The big-boy trend continues as Vincic committed to Oregon State after an official visit to the Beavers followed by trips to Cal and Utah. He committed to the Beavers on July 2.

17. Jack Velling | Seattle Prep (Seattle)
6-5 | 225 | TE | Oregon State

Excellent all-around tight end is a superb blocker and pass catcher. Committed to the Beavers on July 9.

18. Keith Olson | Napavine
6-6 | 285 | OT | USC

Unusual for a Northwest kid to be snatched up by a Southern California squad but Olson will not only show off his blocking prowess but a superb display of athleticism which he showed playing four sports in high school.

19. Takari Hickle| Tenino
6-4 | 240 | DL | Oregon State

Strong and physical, Hickle made the most of his two offers, committing to the Beavers on July 12.



20. Denzel Boston | Emerald Ridge (South Hill)
6-3 | 180 | WR | Washington

After much contemplation. Boston picked the Huskies on Aug. 4.

21. Joshua Wood | Graham-Kapowsin
6-3 | 185 | QB | Undecided

The highest rated signal-caller in the state has offers from Eastern Washington, Idaho State and Portland State.

22. Keekee McQueen | Spanaway Lake (Spanaway)
5-10 | 170 | CB | Nevada

The Wolf Pack secured the best senior cornerback in Washington.

23. Jakobus Seth | Lakewood (Arlington)
6-3 | 281 | DE | Washington State

He has 6.5 career sacks to go with a splendid prep career playing center.

24. JP Zamora | Chiawana (Pasco)
6-4 | 185 | QB | Undecided

State's second-ranked quarterback has offers from Utah and Nevada.

25. Jaelin Green | Rainier Beach (Seattle)
6-5 | 180 | ATH | Undecided

There's little or nothing that Green can't do on the football field, though his speciality might be catch passes. Colorado, Eastern Washington, Florida Atlantic, Nevada and Oregon State among his finalists.
