Soccer Recap: Payton College Prep Takes a Loss

Payton College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitney Young Dolphins. Payton College Prep were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Whitney Young apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Payton College Prep's goal came courtesy of Jasmine Zhang, who's now up to two this season.

Payton College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Whitney Young, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.

Coming up, Payton College Prep will head out on the road to face off against Saint Viator at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Whitney Young, they will be playing at home against Metea Valley at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Metea Valley's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Whitney Young's offense will have their work cut out for them.
