Basketball Recap: Burns Takes a Loss

Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 52-15 loss at the hands of the Torrington Trailblazers. The Broncs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.

Despite the loss, Burns saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Myla Medley posted four points along with six boards and three steals.

Burns' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-11. As for Torrington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Burns will host Rawlins at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Torrington, they are taking a road trip to square off against Wheatland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
