Volleyball Recap: Silver Lake Takes a Loss

Silver Lake was the 2-1 winner over Deshler when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Makenna M Karr paced Silver Lake's offense, picking up 21 kills. M Karr got some help from Libby Soucek and her 19 assists. Sophie Schmidt controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Deshler found their leader in sophomore Kaleesha Mcbride, who had 11 digs.

Silver Lake's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Deshler, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-17 record this season.

Silver Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Exeter-Milligan/Friend on the 21st. Deshler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
