Basketball Recap: Hemphill Comes Up Short

Hemphill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 55-27 loss at the hands of the San Augustine Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1342nd, while the Wolves are ranked 588th).

Hemphill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for San Augustine, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

Hemphill will be playing at home against Colmesneil at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Colmesneil has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. San Augustine has already played their next matchup (against Woden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
