Soccer Recap: North Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

North Mecklenburg managed to slip by Garinger the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 5-0. North Mecklenburg were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Garinger apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

North Mecklenburg has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12-1 record this season. As for Garinger, their record now sits at 7-8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Mecklenburg will head out to square off against Harding University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Mecklenburg will be up against Harding University's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.08 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Garinger, they are taking a road trip to face off against Olympic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
