Basketball Recap: Ida Crown Jewish Academy Comes Up Short

Ida Crown Jewish Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the IC Catholic Prep Knights at home by a 59-44 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Aces can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Knights are ranked 178th).

Ida Crown Jewish Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for IC Catholic Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Ida Crown Jewish Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Our Lady of Tepeyac at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for IC Catholic Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-40 loss against Bishop McNamara on the 18th.
