Volleyball Recap: Verndale Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sebeka on Friday, Verndale came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the Nevis Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Verndale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Nevis, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Verndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nevis, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Swanville on the 30th.
