Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Spring Valley's Third in Last Four Outings

Spring Valley barely beat Bonanza the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Grizzlies never let the Bengals get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Cheyenne Stephens-Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Stephens-Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Aubreyana Sanchez was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isabella Lenahan, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Spring Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Spring Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bonanza, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
