The Bishop Snyder Cardinals will head out to face off against the Middleburg Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Snyder is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
Last Friday, Bishop Snyder made easy work of Trinity Catholic and carried off an 8-2 victory.
Tripp Hannah made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing four bases. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Jack Rauch looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Bishop Snyder lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Middleburg lost 12-4 to St. Augustine on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost four in a row.
Middleburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny De Antonis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Bishop Snyder's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Middleburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bishop Snyder has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Middleburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
