Basketball Recap: Lancaster Skates Past Northwestern with Ease

Lancaster's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They claimed a resounding 78-49 victory over the Northwestern Trojans. That 29 point margin sets a new team best for the Bruins this season.

It was another big night for Jordan Watford, who went 11 of 17 en route to 23 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj Brown, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points along with five assists and four steals.

Watford wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Lancaster was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Lancaster pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Northwestern, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, Lancaster and Northwestern will both be playing Nation Ford the next time they take the court. Lancaster will head out to face Nation Ford at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Northwestern will host them at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
