Volleyball Recap: Cheyenne Wells Comes Up Short

Cheyenne Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Genoa-Hugo Pirates.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cheyenne Wells sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-13.

Cheyenne Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Cheyenne Wells wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Genoa-Hugo/Karval on the 7th. As for Genoa-Hugo, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Deer Trail at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
