Basketball Recap: Ellsworth Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grand Traverse Academy last Wednesday, Ellsworth came back down to earth. The Ellsworth Lancers received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 67-50 to the Traverse City Christian Sabres. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Sabres recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ellsworth's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Traverse City Christian, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellsworth will welcome Posen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Traverse City Christian, they will challenge Brethren at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Traverse City Christian's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home while Brethren has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
