Baseball Recap: Calhoun Takes a Loss

Calhoun had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 11-17 to make it four. They fell just short of the Richwood Lumberjacks by a score of 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly two runs.

Brayden Phillips was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Landon Church, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As for Richwood, the win got them back to even at 8-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 24th.

On Richwood's side, the team relied heavily on Kaden Lane, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Lane a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Jenkins, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

As of now, neither Calhoun nor Richwood have any future games scheduled.
