Libby and Columbia Falls are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Libby Loggers will head out to face off against the Columbia Falls Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Libby has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with nine straight losses, while Columbia Falls will come in with six straight wins.

Libby heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Saturday. They were outmatched by Ronan and fell 57-28. The contest marked the Loggers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Columbia Falls didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bigfork on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Vikings & Valkyries are ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Libby's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Columbia Falls, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Libby took a serious blow against Columbia Falls in their previous meeting back in January, falling 70-34. Can Libby avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
