Bellport had lost six straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 6-13 to make it seven. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deer Park Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in April.

As for Deer Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

For Deer Park's part, Alana Villavicencio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Villavicencio.

At the plate, Jaylene Rodriguez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Summer Eisenberg also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Bellport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deer Park, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Smithtown West on the 16th.
