Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Christian Warriors vs. Parish Episcopal Panthers

The Liberty Christian Warriors will square off against the Parish Episcopal Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Parish Episcopal likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Liberty Christian opened the new year with a less-than-successful 62-55 defeat to Prince of Peace.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Easton Hupp, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. The match was his 18th in a row with at least ten points. Malachi Mitchell was another key player, putting up seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Parish Episcopal was able to grind out a solid win over Los Alamitos last Monday, taking the game 90-83.

Liberty Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12. As for Parish Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 22-4.

Liberty Christian might still be hurting after the 70-44 defeat they got from Parish Episcopal in their previous meeting back in November of 2023.
