Volleyball Recap: Carrboro Takes a Loss

Carrboro and Phoenix Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Carrboro had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Carrboro sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 16-25, 25-15, 17-25, 15-13.

Carrboro has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Phoenix Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

As of now, neither Carrboro nor the Phoenix have any future games scheduled.
