Volleyball Game Preview: Plateau Valley Cowboys vs. Hayden Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Plateau Valley Cowboys and the Hayden Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayden took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Plateau Valley, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Plateau Valley was able to grind out a solid win over West Grand, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cowboys.

Lexi Taylor was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had four digs and three aces. What's more, she racked up 15 assists, the most she's had since back in August.

Meanwhile, Hayden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Olathe.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.

Hayden's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Plateau Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

Plateau Valley took their win against Hayden in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
