Softball Recap: Livermore's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Livermore waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the California Grizzlies. This was a revenge game for the Cowboys: when they faced off against the Grizzlies back in April, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Kaci Norton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Payten Williams was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kerigan Coates, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Livermore's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for California, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.

As of now, neither Livermore nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
