Softball Recap: Whitley County Colonels vs. Clay County Tigers
Whitley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of the Clay County Tigers by a score of 3-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Whitley County of the 8-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
Caylee Singleton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Amber Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.
