Petal had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-46 W against the Hattiesburg Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-42 back in December of 2025.

Petal's record is now 15-12. As for Hattiesburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Petal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hattiesburg, they will be playing at home against Terry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
