Basketball Recap: Clarion Area Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Clarion Area rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took down the Muncy Indians 57-42.

Nathan Frederick was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Waterson, who put up eight points.

Despite the loss, Muncy still got an impressive performance from Dominic Guardini, who shot 43% from the field en route to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxton Frantz, who had ten points.

Clarion Area's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points over those games. As for Muncy, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 20-7.
