Baseball Recap: Weed Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Weed took on Etna on Friday. The Cougars took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Weed saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Keen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Jett Marshall was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Weed's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Etna, their record is now 9-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Weed by a score of 20-1 later that day.
