Basketball Recap: Eastern Hancock's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Eastern Hancock won the last time they faced Blue River Valley, and McKenzie Koch did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eastern Hancock Royals breezed by the Blue River Valley Vikings to the tune of 59-20 on Wednesday thanks in part to Koch, who went 13 of 24 on her way to 31 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. The contest was her 16th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Sotelo, who posted eight points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last five games she's played.

Despite the loss, Blue River Valley still got an impressive performance from Ella Schmitt, who put up 15 points.

The win made it two in a row for Eastern Hancock and bumps their season record up to 14-2. As for Blue River Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Eastern Hancock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-32 victory against Union County on the 11th. As for Blue River Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-18 loss against Tri on the 11th.
