The Resurrection Bandits will head out to face off against the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Resurrection and Fenwick had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bandits walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Friars on Monday. The Bandits haven't had any issues with the Friars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Elizabeth Dorgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mia Gurdak was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Madison Kruszewski was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Resurrection kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Saint Ignatius College Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Northside with a sharp 13-2 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolfpack as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Zoe Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katie McClain, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Anne Crotty, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Resurrection now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their record now sits at 12-17.
Resurrection came out on top in a nail-biter against Saint Ignatius College Prep when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bandits since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
