Basketball Recap: Madison Kragel Key Part of Team Effort in Buffaloes Win

A well-balanced attack led Miami-Yoder over Monument Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes put the hurt on the Monument Academy Lynx with a sharp 42-16 win. The Buffaloes not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 8th.

Miami-Yoder got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Kragel out in front who posted eight points and 13 boards. Miami-Yoder is 3-1 when Kragel posts eight or more rebounds, but 7-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kylie McKnight, who had eight points along with seven steals and five assists.

The win made it two in a row for Miami-Yoder and bumps their season record up to 10-11. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.5 points on average over those games. As for Monument Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Miami-Yoder didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-28 victory against Liberty Tree Academy on the 1st. Monument Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
